About the Author

Will Vanegas was born in Bogota, Colombia.  As a small child and a legal immigrant/resident, he was brought to the US and settled in New Jersey until 1976, when his father’s promotion with Avianca Airlines moved them to Miami.  He graduated from Miami Sunset Sr. High in 1984 and quickly went into the workforce with a stint at MDCC.  He worked in airfreight at Miami Int’l Airport form ’86 to ’91.  In total he worked 26 years in the airline industry that involved six different carriers.  Several years in management for United Airlines with only a couple being turbulent, sent him back to Miami Dade CC.

He enrolled in English Comp I and honored in II.  The effect of a great professor lingered, and he finally began to write screenplays in 2011 out of need to tell stories and a desire to break into the movie industry.  In 2019, he wrote the screenplay Thieves of Miami inspired from verbally telling stories to the people of Denver, Colorado where he currently resides.  A year later he wrote the book.  In 2024, he decided to self-publish it and make it on his own.
